Security
The Security tab in Settings is where you manage how you sign in and how LOP sends email on your behalf. It has three areas: your password, your connected sign-in accounts, and your Outlook connection for sending quote emails.
Open it from Settings → Security.
Changing Your Password
To change your password:
- Go to Settings → Security
- Under Change password, enter your Current password
- Enter your New password and confirm it
- Click Update password
You stay signed in after changing your password.
If you signed up with Google or Microsoft and have never set a password, you'll see Set a password here instead. Setting one lets you also sign in with your email address, and is required before you can disconnect a connected sign-in account.
Connected Accounts
If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, the Security tab shows which account is connected and lets you disconnect it.
- Connected accounts lists the Google or Microsoft account linked to your LOP login.
- Click Disconnect to unlink it. You can reconnect anytime by signing in with that provider again.
You can't disconnect your only way of signing in. If your account has no password, set a password first — otherwise disconnecting would leave you with no way to log back in.
This is about logging in. It is separate from connecting Outlook for sending quote emails, described next.
Connecting Outlook for Sending Quotes
To use Freight Quotes, LOP needs permission to send quote emails from your own Outlook/Microsoft mailbox. You grant that here, once.
- Go to Settings → Security
- Find the Email Sending section
- Click Connect Outlook
- Sign in to your Microsoft account and approve the request
- Once connected, the section shows your connected email address
After this, the Get Quote flow can send quote requests as you, and forwarders' replies come back to your own inbox. See Getting a Quote.
Connecting Outlook for sending is a separate permission from signing in with Microsoft. Sending quote emails on your behalf is a more sensitive permission, so it's granted on its own under Email Sending — not as part of login.
Some companies require an IT administrator to approve email-sending permissions before anyone in the organization can connect their mailbox. If you see an "approval required" screen when connecting Outlook, ask your IT administrator to approve it for your organization — then try connecting again.
To stop LOP sending on your behalf, disconnect Outlook from the same section at any time.
