Preferences

Preferences control how LOP behaves for your individual account — the unit system, interface language, export defaults, and visual theme. These settings apply only to you and do not affect other members of your organization.

Accessing Preferences

  1. Click Settings in the left sidebar
  2. Select Preferences

Changes save automatically as you adjust each setting. There is no separate Save button.

Units

Choose between metric and imperial measurement systems.

SettingDimensionsWeightAreas
MetricMillimeters (mm)Kilograms (kg)
ImperialInches (in)Pounds (lbs)ft²

Changing the unit setting affects:

  • Item dimension input fields throughout the application
  • 3D editor position readouts and tooltips
  • Score panel and analytics displays
  • Column headers in CSV and Excel exports
  • Dimension values shown in PDF reports

Internally, LOP always stores all measurements in millimeters and kilograms. The unit setting is a display preference that converts values for your screen. All data is portable between metric and imperial users without conversion errors.

Changing the unit setting does not convert existing item dimensions. If you entered a box as 400 × 300 × 200 mm and switch to imperial, the item displays as 15.75 × 11.81 × 7.87 in — the same physical size, shown in the new unit.

Language

Choose between English and Turkish for the application interface.

The language setting affects:

  • All UI text, labels, and navigation
  • Error messages and notifications
  • Optimization status messages

The language setting does not affect:

  • Exported documents — export language is controlled separately (see Export Defaults below)
  • Content you have entered (item names, plan names, notes — these remain as typed)

If you need the application in a language other than English or Turkish, contact support. LOP's i18n infrastructure supports adding new languages, and we prioritize additions based on user demand.

Export Defaults

These settings control the default options applied when you generate an export. You can always override them in the export dialog for individual exports.

Export Language

Choose the language for generated PDF reports, Excel workbooks, and CSV column headers. Options: English or Turkish.

This is independent of the interface language setting. You can use the interface in Turkish while generating reports in English for international customers, or vice versa.

Loading Direction

The default direction used when numbering the loading sequence:

  • From door (default) — items nearest the door are loaded last (standard front-to-back loading)
  • From top — items on top are loaded last (relevant for top-loading containers or pallets)

This affects the Load Step numbering in exports and the loading sequence page of PDF reports.

Include AI Insights in PDF

When checked, AI analysis results (narrative and improvement suggestions) are automatically included in PDF exports when an analysis has been run for the plan.

When unchecked, AI content is excluded from PDFs by default. You can still add it per-export in the PDF export dialog.

Default "Prepared by" Name

The name that appears in the "Prepared by" field on PDF report cover pages. Defaults to your profile full name. You can enter a different name here if you regularly export under a job title, department name, or a specific signing authority.

Theme

Choose the visual theme for the LOP interface:

OptionDescription
Dark (default)Dark background with light text — optimized for long planning sessions
LightLight background with dark text
SystemFollows your operating system's current appearance setting

The theme affects the interface only. Exported PDFs always use a light, print-optimized layout regardless of your theme setting.

The Dark theme uses true neutral grays with no color tint — it is designed to reduce eye strain during extended planning sessions. The 3D editor's viewport always uses a dark background regardless of theme setting.
