Cancellation

Cancellation

You can cancel your LOP subscription at any time. Cancellation is straightforward and self-service — no need to contact support.

How to Cancel

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. A confirmation dialog explains what will happen to your account and data
  4. Confirm the cancellation

You receive a confirmation email with the cancellation date and the date your paid access ends.

What Happens After Cancellation

Access During the Remaining Period

Cancelling your subscription does not immediately cut off access. Your account continues to operate at the cancelled plan's tier until the end of the current billing period.

For example, if you cancel on the 10th of the month and your billing period ends on the 30th, you have full access to all features through the 30th. You are not charged for the following period.

After the Billing Period Ends

Once the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free tier. This means:

  • You can create up to 3 plans per month
  • Plans are limited to 20 items and 1 container
  • Premium features (STEP import, AI analysis, ERP import, Excel export, templates) are no longer accessible

All your existing plans, items, templates, and data remain in your account. No data is deleted at this point.

You do not lose access to viewing or exporting your existing plans when reverting to Free. You can still open any plan you created while on a paid plan and export it.

Data Retention After Cancellation

LOP retains your account data — plans, items, templates, STEP models, and settings — for 90 days after the billing period ends following cancellation.

TimelineStatus
Cancellation date to billing period endFull access at cancelled plan's tier
Billing period endAccount reverts to Free tier, all data preserved
30 days after billing period endReminder email sent about data retention window
90 days after billing period endAccount data may be permanently deleted

After the 90-day window, account data including all plans, items, templates, and uploaded files may be deleted from LOP's systems. This deletion is irreversible.

⚠️

Before cancelling, export any plans and data you want to keep. Use the Excel or CSV export to save placement data, and download PDF reports for any plans you may need for compliance or customer records. Do not rely on the 90-day window as a backup — export proactively before cancelling.

Reactivating Your Account

You can reactivate your account at any time within the 90-day retention window by subscribing again:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Go to Settings → Billing or the Pricing page
  3. Select a plan and complete payment

All your data is immediately restored and accessible upon reactivation. Your plans, items, templates, and settings are exactly as you left them.

After the 90-day retention window, reactivation creates a new empty account.

Cancelling a Free Account

If you are on the Free tier (never subscribed or after a previous cancellation), there is no subscription to cancel. You can close your account entirely if you wish to delete your data:

  1. Go to Settings → Profile
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click Delete Account
  3. Confirm by typing your email address
  4. Your account and all associated data are permanently deleted
⚠️

Account deletion is immediate and permanent. All plans, items, templates, and uploaded files are deleted and cannot be recovered. Export anything you need before deleting your account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I receive a refund when I cancel? No. LOP does not issue refunds for unused portions of a billing period. Access continues until the end of the paid period.

What if I cancel an annual subscription early? Your access continues until the end of the annual period. No refund is issued for the remaining months. If you have a specific circumstance, contact support at support@lop.tools.

Can I pause my subscription instead of cancelling? Subscription pausing is not currently available. The closest option is to downgrade to the Free tier, which has no monthly charge.

I cancelled but I still see a charge — what should I do? Confirm the cancellation date in your confirmation email and check when the billing period ended. If a charge occurred after the billing period end date, contact support with your account email and the charge details.

I want to close my account but keep my export files — is that possible? Yes. Before deleting your account, export all your plans as PDF, Excel, or CSV files and save them locally. These files are yours and are not affected by account deletion.
