Upgrading & Downgrading
You can change your LOP subscription plan at any time from the Pricing page or from your billing settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Online subscription checkout is currently being activated with our payment provider (iyzico). The Pricing page, plan tiers, and the checkout steps below are live, but a payment may not complete until activation finishes. To upgrade in the meantime, contact support@lop.tools.
Upgrading Your Plan
Method 1 — From the Pricing Page
- Go to app.lop.tools/pricing (opens in a new tab) or click Upgrade in the navigation bar
- Review the plan tiers, choose monthly or annual billing, and set your seat count. A display-currency selector lets you view prices in USD, EUR, or TRY — EUR and TRY are approximate conversions at the TCMB daily rate (marked with ≈); the charge itself is made in the subscription's own currency
- Click Get Started on the plan you want
- Acknowledge the pre-checkout consents. Before payment, LOP asks you to confirm three items required under Turkish distance-sales law: the Pre-Contractual Information Form, the Distance Sales Agreement (both linked for reading), and the acknowledgment that the service starts immediately, which waives the statutory withdrawal right. All three must be checked to continue
- Complete the secure payment form (hosted by iyzico — Visa, Mastercard, and major debit cards are accepted)
Once payment is confirmed, your account is upgraded immediately — new features and higher limits are active right away.
Organizations on a complimentary plan (granted by LOP) see a notice on the Pricing page instead of checkout buttons — complimentary accounts are never billed, so there is nothing to purchase.
Method 2 — From Settings
- Go to Settings → Billing
- In the Current Plan section, click Upgrade Plan
- Select the target plan
- Complete payment as described above
Method 3 — From an Upgrade Prompt
When you hit a usage limit, the upgrade prompt contains an Upgrade Now button that takes you directly to the payment flow for the suggested plan.
What Happens Immediately After Upgrade
- Your new plan tier is reflected in Settings → Billing
- The monthly plan limit is updated immediately (or removed if upgrading to Business/Enterprise)
- All features of the new tier are unlocked
- Your usage counter is not reset on upgrade — it resets on your next billing period start date
If you upgrade shortly before your billing period resets (e.g., two days before the month end), your usage counter will reset at the normal time. Contact support if you need an immediate reset.
Upgrading from Free to Professional
Paid plans start when you subscribe. Upgrading from the permanent Free tier to Professional starts your subscription immediately — you are charged the subscription fee, billing begins from the upgrade date, and Professional features are unlocked right away.
Annual vs Monthly Billing
When upgrading, you can choose between monthly and annual billing:
- Monthly billing — charged each month. Cancel anytime with access through the end of the paid period.
- Annual billing — charged once per year at a discounted rate (equivalent to two months free). Cancel with access through the end of the annual period.
You can switch between monthly and annual billing:
- Monthly to Annual: the change takes effect on your next billing date. You are charged the annual rate minus the portion of the month already paid
- Annual to Monthly: the change takes effect at the end of the current annual period
Downgrading Your Plan
When Downgrade Takes Effect
Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, not immediately. This means:
- You keep your current plan's features and limits until the billing period ends
- On the next billing period start date, your account switches to the new (lower) tier
- You are charged the new tier's rate on the next billing date
How to Downgrade
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Change Plan
- Select the lower tier
- Confirm the downgrade
A confirmation email is sent with the effective date of the change.
Downgrading to Free
Downgrading to the Free tier cancels your paid subscription. Access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to Free tier limits permanently (until you re-subscribe).
What Happens to Your Data When Downgrading
Downgrading does not delete any data. All plans, items, templates, and other data remain in your account. However, access to certain features is restricted once the downgrade takes effect:
| Scenario | What Happens |
|---|---|
| You have more than 3 plans and downgrade to Free | All plans remain accessible. You cannot create new plans until your monthly count falls below 3 (by waiting until next month's reset). |
| You have templates and downgrade to Free | Templates are preserved but cannot be applied until you upgrade again. |
| You have STEP models and downgrade to Free | 3D model files are retained. The items and their computed dimensions remain. New STEP uploads are blocked until you upgrade. |
| You have ERP import history and downgrade to Free | Import history is preserved. New imports are blocked until you upgrade. |
If you downgrade from Business to Professional, your custom logo branding is removed from future PDF exports. Previously exported files are not changed.
Proration
LOP's billing follows a straightforward policy:
- Upgrading mid-period — you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period at the new tier's rate, plus the full amount for the next period
- Downgrading — no refund or credit is issued for the unused portion of the current period. Access continues until period end
For annual billing, proration is calculated based on the number of months remaining in the annual period.
Payment Failures
If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, bank decline), LOP sends an email notification and retries the payment over 3 days. If all retries fail:
- Your account is downgraded to the Free tier
- All data is preserved
- You can update your payment method in Settings → Billing → Payment Method and re-subscribe at any time
Update your payment method before it expires to avoid service interruption. Expiry reminders are sent 30 days before your card expires.
